Mary Brown’s Chicken goes international with GNF Worldwide, entering Mexico via BPT Group.
In a milestone for Canadian and Mexican franchising, MB Chicken crosses borders for the first time since its founding in 1969. The Mexican operator BPT Group has acquired the master franchise for the territory, making it a historic moment for relations between the two countries. GNF Worldwide, a global franchise development and internationalization firm, mediated the transaction, which includes the development of 65 units in the country.
Mary Brown’s Chicken has been Canada’s most iconic fried chicken brand for more than 50 years, with nearly 300 stores. Now, the company seeks to expand its footprint internationally. In this regard, its President and CEO, Hadi Chahin, welcomes this chapter in the history of MB Chicken and comments that it fills them with enthusiasm to collaborate with BPT Group to develop their successful system in Mexico.
For his part, José Luis Torrado and Eduardo Vargas, top management of BPT Group, one of the most relevant multi-brand operators in Mexico, affirm that their group is committed to bringing MB Chicken to their country with pride, and that the superior value proposition of the brand will certainly stand up to established companies in the fried chicken category.
